19 Books to Read If You Adore Katniss Everdeen

Perhaps more than any other book genre, young adult literature is known for producing strong, smart heroines. Katniss from The Hunger Games, Tris from Divergentand Hermione from Harry Potter often come to mind, yet there are so many other wonderful female teen role models out there just waiting to be discovered.

We’ve compiled a list of 19 YA books with inspiring heroines, and included publishers’ descriptions for the first in the series below. Each of these ladies kicks butt in her own unique way!
