Game of Thrones is back! The season debut for the Emmy–winning series by George R. R. Martin is still a few weeks off, but HBO just released its first full trailer for the highly anticipated seventh season. After a long 11-month wait, we finally get an intriguing look at all of the major players and a promise of what’s to come. Check out the Game of Thrones season 7 trailer for yourself below:

The almost two-minute-long clip begins with a voice over from Cersei Lannister, who came into power of the Iron Throne at the end of season six. She tells her brother: “Whatever stands in our way… we will defeat it.” Meanwhile, Daenerys Targaryen declares her own strength in the company of her devoted Dothraki warriors and magnificent dragons, claiming: “I was born to rule the Seven Kingdoms. And I will.”

In the north, Littlefinger tells Sansa Stark that she is, “The last best hope against the coming storm.” We also get a glimpse of Arya Stark kneeling in the snow, hinting that she has made her way back to Winterfell where Jon Snow has taken on the role of King in the North.

Finally, Ser Davos Seaworth leaves us with a grim view of what lies ahead: “If we don’t put aside our enmities and bound together, we will die,” he warns, “and then it doesn’t matter whose skeleton sits on the Iron Throne.” War is inevitable — but who will survive and who will perish in this new installment of our favorite fantasy series?

The new Game of Thrones season will feature seven episodes, and returns to HBO on July 16. But if you need more to tide you over until then, check out these seven things to know about the upcoming season.
