New ‘Outlander’ Wines Hitting Shelves October 9

Posted on October 6, 2017 by

Outlander fans and wine lovers will have something new to toast to come Monday! A new crop of Outlander wines based on our favorite characters from Diana Gabaldon‘s bestselling series will be released next week, reports Entertainment Weekly and People magazine. Created exclusively by wine retailer Lot18 in conjunction with Sony Pictures Entertainment, these special wines feature the name or alias of Jamie and Claire, as well as sketches of the characters, on the gorgeous labels.

Each of the bottles has a distinctive and beautiful look to fit any Outlander fan’s taste. For instance, Jamie’s fans can sip from selections named Mo Nighean Donn, A. Malcolm, Red Jamie, and Mac Dubh.

Wine aficionados who adore Claire can choose from several varietals such as the rosé Sassenach, La Dame Blanche, and a pinot noir called Mo Nighean Donna — a Gaelic phrase meaning “my dark-haired lass.”

Wine, of course, plays an important part in the beloved series, and last year, Lot18 also released a selection of four different wines commemorating Claire Randall, Frank Randall, Claire Fraser, and Jamie Fraser.

Fans of the TV show have faced an emotional roller coaster in season three, so the release of these wines cannot come at a better time. Plus, even after you’ve had your fill, these beautiful bottles would make great keepsakes if you’re a collector of Outlander books and accessories.

The new wines will available from Lot18 beginning Monday, October 9, but they will only be available for a limited time while supplies last. Judging by all the passionate Outlander fans out there, they might not last long! Buy a bottle or two (or all of them!) to enjoy while you watch the drama and excitement unfold in the new season!
