Potterheads Can Now Attend a Yule Ball This Christmas

Posted on October 19, 2017 by

The holidays will be especially magical this year — because a real-life Harry Potter Yule Ball is coming to London! Located at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, the ball will welcome Muggles on December 11, 12, and 13.

Last year, the studio held a Great Hall Christmas Dinner, but this year the event will be even grander. For the first time ever, Warner Bros. will be transforming the actual set of the Hogwarts Great Hall into the enchanting winter scene we saw during the famous Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire Yule Ball. The dazzling decorations will include snow-covered Christmas trees and an orchestra of magical instruments to delight attendees.

The lucky guests will first enjoy appetizers and drinks before entering the Great Hall to be seated at those famous long tables where Harry, Ron, and Hermoine dined at Hogwarts. Muggles will be served two courses of a hearty Christmas dinner.

Potterheads will then have a chance to explore the Studio Tour, which will include the set of the Gryffindor common room and the Weasley family kitchen decorated as they were for winter scenes in the film. Dessert will follow on Platform 9¾, right next to the original Hogwarts Express. And because no Harry Potter dining experience is complete without butterbeer, guests will enjoy the delicious drink while wandering Diagon Alley and glimpsing the Hogwarts castle model before spending the rest of the event dancing at the ball. To top it all off, at the end of the evening attendees will each get to choose their own wand at the Studio Shop.

Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the holidays, right?

If you’re ready to hop on your broom and fly to London this winter, tickets go on sale October 24 for £240 each. In addition to the Yule Ball event, a Christmas Party Night for large groups will be held December 6. Either way, we know tickets will go fast, so get your wand ready if you want a seat!
