It’s here! The new Fifty Shades sequel hits shelves today, and the latest installment in E L James‘s bestselling series promises to heat up your winter. Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told By Christian is a retelling of Fifty Shades Darker from Christian Grey’s perspective. It follows the plot of the second book in the series, as Christian works to win Ana back and struggles as his past comes crashing into the present.
We got our hands on a copy of Darker and stayed up all night reading to find the book’s sexiest moments. Below is a taste of what you can expect from the new Fifty Shades book.
When Grey longs to have Ana back (Loc 183)
“Will I always want her like this? I want to kiss her, press her into the elevator wall like I did during our first kiss. I want to f*ck her here, and make her mine again.”
When Grey coined this phrase (Loc 634)
“Don’t blow this, Grey. How to begin? I take a deep breath. ‘Let me ask you something first. Do you want a regular vanilla relationship with no kinky f*ckery at all?'”
When dessert made its way into the bedroom (Loc 1612)
“I pop a large spoonful of vanilla into my mouth and return to her breasts, sucking each of her nipples in turn with my cool lips and tongue. I crawl down her body, following the melted ice cream, lapping it up. She writhes beneath me, her hips pulsing in a familiar rhythm… She’s sticky. But not everywhere. Yet.”
When Grey admitted he was in love with Ana (Loc 3874)
“I’m in love. This is what it feels like… It’s humbling. It’s overwhelming. It’s hot. And my body responds. The only way it knows how.”
Yep, that’s a guy in love (Loc 3915)
“I am a new being. A new Christian Grey. I am in love with Anastasia Steele, and what’s more, she loves me. Of course, the girl needs to have her head examined, but right now I’m grateful, spent, and happy.”
When finally Ana agrees to marry him (Loc 8347)
“I cup her face and kiss her, my lips tender on hers. I worship her mouth, cherishing her. She closes her eyes and accepts my kiss, kissing me back with a sweet hunger under the steaming shower… I can’t stop loving her. I won’t stop loving her. Ever.“
