Watch the New Trailer for ‘Fifty Shades Freed’

Posted on January 2, 2018 by

The premiere of the upcoming Fifty Shades adaptation is almost a month away, and the newly released trailer is sure to build anticipation for the final installment. Universal Pictures aired the latest preview during ABC’s premiere of The Bachelor on Monday night. Watch the new Fifty Shades Freed trailer below:

The trailer features some of the same footage as the September teaser — including the Grey’s wedding, luxurious vacations, and a sneak peek at their palatial new home. But it ends on a pivotal new moment: Anastasia’s discovery that she’s pregnant. As her doctor informs her, “You’re pregnant, Mrs. Grey,” Anastasia’s jaw drops.

While this reveal will not come as a surprise to readers of E L James‘s bestselling trilogy, it represents an exciting new milestone for the pair. Beyond welcoming their new role as parents, Christian and Ana face a new set of challenges in the third novel, including a flirtatious architect and revenge-ridden ex-boss.

In addition to Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, fans can anticipate an exciting group of new cast members in Fifty Shades Freed, including Ariel Kebbel and Kim Basinger. Director James Foley and screenwriter Niall Leonard returned for the final installment. The first film, Fifty Shades of Grey (2015) grossed upwards of $500 million after its release, while the second movie, Fifty Shades Darker (2017), made $380 million. In addition to the new film, fans of the erotic romance series were recently treated to the release of Darker: Fifty Shades Darker as Told By Christian in November, which retells the second Fifty Shades book from Christian Grey’s perspective.

Following suit with the previous two movies, Fifty Shades Freed will hit theaters for a Valentine’s Day release, premiering on February 9, 2018.
